Cyprus
In Cyprus, 4 sampling sites were selected in the Mesaoria Plain and the Troodos Mountains. Groundwater recharge was estimated on both natural areas and agricultural sites. A total of 11 soil profiles (429 soil samples) were taken. In these areas, 8 Truebner GmbH soil moisture monitoring stations with a total of 41 sensors are active.

Jordan
In Jordan, 5 sites were selected near Masaba and Amman. A total of 10 profiles were taken and analyzed using different methods. Soil moisture monitoring stations of Truebner GmbH were also installed at these sites.
